Glossary

Caelis: An eternal world full of lush landscapes and magic. Everything in Caelis was created by the Progenitor and they partner with the people of the world to maintain and sustain it. Human life is eternal on Caelis. Everything is imbued with magic (a special form of energy) and everyone can learn whatever type of magic they want to.

Dwell-mate: When people from Caelis travel to other worlds they do so in a spirit-form. Because they have no physical body, the only way they can interact with the world is by sharing a body with another person. This person is known as their dwell-mate because they become two souls dwelling together within one body.

Progenitor: [pronouns: They/Them] Creator and sustainer of Caelis. Closest equivalent on Earth would be a god but they aren’t a god in the typical understanding of the word, especially in regards to their relationship with people.

Weavers: People who have mastered a type of magic are known as Weavers. (Named after the way that magic manifests itself to users in the form of threads that can be woven together.) Typically people who reach this level will make a living using their magic and will use their Weaver title as part of their name. (Like how people on Earth with PhDs or medical degrees will add the Dr title to their name.)
