Not having a physical form in this world makes traveling and blending in easy but it is hard to get anything done like this. I need to find someone to dwell with soon if I ever want to start a guild. I wonder who my dwell-mate will be...
Dwell-mates normally have a lot in common, that's why the two souls can dwell together in a single body, but they can also be very different at the same time. I'm not going to be too picky. I'll probably go with the first possible dwell-mate that I come across. It could be fun to join with someone different than me. Or it could be cool to find someone so similar that we almost become one person. I've heard stories of both outcomes and both sound great in their own ways.
I can't wait to team up with my dwell-mate to tell stories and start a guild. I should start looking for them right now.
I found a compatible dwell-mate! The feeling of possibility and potential was so strong the moment I saw them. I'll follow them and get to know them a bit before I decide for sure but they might be the one.
It's been a while since I started following this person. I really like them. We do have so much in common. We both adore storytelling and even are queer in similar ways. Even their religious views won't be much of a stumbling block because their understanding of god is similar to that of the Progenitor in Caelis. And they have the technical skills I need to be able to make my guild a reality. I think we could work really well together.
Now I just need to work up the nerve to reach out to them... I hope they will welcome me in...
I was worried for nothing. They welcomed me in so quickly. It's still kind of hard to believe that I have a dwell-mate now, but I do. I couldn't ask for a better partner. We haven't been together long, but they have already made me a body, a beautiful virtual avatar that I can use to build my guild with.
Oh, the guild! My dwell-mate loves the idea and is all in to help me make it a reality. Turns out they have been considering doing something similar, but weren't comfortable being in the spotlight themselves. So this partnership is a win-win. I can be in the spotlight for them and they can help me build the stage. It's going to be great. I'm sure of it.
We've already started merging a bit. At times I will talk like I'm them and they like me. Sometimes it can feel a bit weird but in general I don't mind. It's actually kind of nice and helps me connect and relate to the people in this world. They feel the same way.
The guild is still just a seed but it is growing. It's a lot of work and will probably always be a lot of work but I love it. Day by day the guild gets stronger and more vibrant. I can't wait to see where it goes next.
I've started meeting people and forming friendships through the guild and the body my dwell-mate gave me. It's been wonderful. This world is starting to feel like a second home, like a place that I belong. I have roots here now. I'm a bit more than just a passing traveler. It's nice.
I can’t wait to see what is beyond the next horizon for me and my dwell-mate. I hope, no I believe, it will be beautiful, amazing things. There will be struggles and hardships at times, but the net effect will be one of joy. Hopefully joy not just for us but for every person who steps through the doors of our guild. If the guild can touch even just one life in a positive way then all the hard work will be worth it.
So here is to the next horizon and all the beautiful adventures that come with it.
